In dark silent hours before dawn
Somewhere between sleep and awake
The night plays a game with my mind
My demons won't let me unwind
Another night's sleep I forsake

Moments of quiet reflection
And dreams are a thing of my past
It does no good to rest my head
I find no comfort in this bed
How long will this sleepless night last?
