Keepers of the Flame

We are the keepers of the flame
Dedicated to speaking his name.
The ones to keep his memory alive
The ones to mourn that he has died.

We stand here with these broken hearts
Outside you don’t see us falling apart.
You think we are strong, but we are lying
You see us smile, but inside we’re dying.

The pain we feel will never be sated.
We lost a part of us that we created.
Our little boy, our life, our Chris
We mourn him daily, there’s so much we miss.

Carl & I will become the keepers of the flame,
Dedicated to speaking his name.
The ones to keep his memory alive
The ones to mourn that he has died.
