A gentle man with kindness
He gave to anyone
But Denied the chance to be someone
Of wealth upon this earth

I smoke another cigarette
And I stare into the screen
The place he used to be
Every morning for me
A message to be opened
As I sipped my first coffee

May as well have a drink or two
As I write to Dave again
Now emails are returned
Unknown user entity
But not to me the person
Staring at this screen

Smoke another cigarette
And have another drink
Hoping it will dull the pain
Of the suicide of my friend

A man of quite dignity
Who gave his heart to me
As he left this earth to reach
His final destiny

And I die inside as I reply
Yes I am doing fine
They don’t really need to see
This darkness inside
Now the unknown entity
Just staring at a computer screen
