Hey Dave where are you now?
Are you floating on a cloud
High above me in the sky
Is it just the rain
Or my endless tears of pain
I find streaming down my face
As I look above but find that your not there

Hey Dave where are you now?
Are you happy and set free
In a heaven I can’t see
I am told I must believe that
You are still within my reach
All I have to do is seek
The place they call eternity

Hey Dave where are you now?
Can you touch me if you try
I keep trying to feel you next to me
But it seems the more I need
To keep you within me
You are further from my reach

Hey Dave where are you now?
Can you speak without a voice
Will I know for sure its you
When I step outside my door
And I look above and try to touch the sky
Where I think you would be flying high
With the birds and clouds and wind
Never having to come in

Hey Dave where are you now?
Can you simply touch my soul
Let me know you are okay and feeling good
Hey Dave I’m so alone I need the friend I loved
I don’t know how long I can be in this misery

Hey Dave where are you now?
I still don’t see your light
The one that is supposed to be my guide
And bring love to those left behind

Hey Dave where are you now?
All I feel is your not here
