It's been about a year
since I last held your hand
heard your laugh and
walked through the sand.

They say with time
the pain eases some
but my memories of you
bring tears when they come.

You were such and important
part of my life
at times the pain cuts me
like a newly sharpened knife.

I'll miss you forever,
I know this for sure
and my love for you Ken
never died and is pure.

I think of all the things
that you're missing
changing seasons, chirping birds
and our sweet special kissing.

How many ways can I say
"I miss you"
I've said them all, meant them all,
I just terribly miss you!!!
