Suffering breaks our world
like a tree struck by lightening-
splintered - shaken - denuded
Our world is broken by suffering
and we'll never be the same
What will come of us a mystery
we'll each find on our own.
slowly craawling forward through
this valley shadowed by death
we each learn just how fragile
are these things we call our own.
How freely they are given
yet so quickly taken away
leaving holes within our hearts
to remain 'til our dying day.
What could we - should we - oh, pleae God!
Why didn't we?
Have the answers, see the way...
Anything that may have kept us all
from ending in this place.
