Time has a funny way of playing tricks on you.
I am not the girl that you once knew.

The girl who would sit and wait for you to come.
The girl who didn't know what she would become.
The girl who tried so hard to get your love.
The girl who's thirst was quenched with a hug.

You meant more to me than you will ever know.
But you didn't stick around for the whole show.
You left halfway through, at intermission.
And now I hope you regret your decision.

Time makes your mind do funny things.
Tries to make you forget the hurt and the pain.

You begin to feel numb.
You begin to feel broken.

You try to overcome.
But it's taken a hold of your soul.
